The CLEAN WATERWAYS 2019 Call for Presentations

Deadline: September 21, 2018 (subject to change)

CLEAN WATERWAYS will focus on improving oil and hazardous materials spill prevention and response on and around inland river systems. Our goal is to serve the spill response industry by hosting a forum that facilitates an open exchange of ideas, case studies and best practices for stakeholders from industry, government, environmental, emergency planning and response industries throughout maritime, facilities, rail, and pipeline.

The CLEAN WATERWAYS program is developed by a government/industry-based committee of approximately 40 industry professionals. All abstracts are reviewed for content and relevance by the committee and are selected by consensus.

What puts your abstract in a favorable light?

  • Submissions from operating companies and/or regulatory agencies sharing new information
  • Submitting case studies that culminate with actionable recommendations
  • Being focused and concise on what will be covered in your presentation
  • Providing practical, tactical, and timely information

What will likely get your abstract rejected?

  • Submissions that are commercial in nature and/or product specific
  • Unfocused abstracts that do not concisely detail what the presentation will be about
  • Submissions clearly outside the scope of the conference
  • Abstracts that are heavily technical or scientific

NOTE: Limit 2 submissions per speaker. Accepted speakers receive complimentary registration to the conference. Only one complimentary registration per submission. Notifications regarding acceptance into the program will be emailed prior to year’s end.
